Ski Skills Class

2020 Ski Skills Class on Wednesday Nights!

Come join the oldest and largest backcountry emphasis ski instruction program in the US.  The program also has classes for Alpine and Telemark skiers keen to develop their skills away from the groomed runs. Enjoy a break from the city and develop your skills so you can ski the backcountry with more enjoyment.

This evening program helps you improve your ski descent skills during uncrowded weeknights.  We use the lifts to maximize focus on descent skills.  Classes are organized by ability level — so that your classmates are skiing at about the same level.

All levels between “never skied” and “advanced” are available.

Location: Summit West — just across the freeway from the WAC Cabin, Exit 52 off of I-90

Days/Dates: Wednesdays:  Jan 8, 15, 22, 29, Feb 5 and 12th 2020.
If for any reason the pass is closed on a Wednesday, we’ll schedule makeups on Feb 19th if needed.

Times: Lessons run from 7:30-9:30 PM

Lesson cost
Prior to December 15th:  $208
After December 15: $260

Lift tickets or seasons pass required and additional cost.
Unlimited Pass $519
Limited Pass $419 (No Alpental on Weekends)
Midweek Pass $349
A discounted Seasons pass may be purchased prior to December 15th

REMINDER:  Please enroll before December 15th — The number of students enrolled by that time helps determines the number of instructors we hire for the program — so if you wait past that, space may not be available.

Discounted season’s passes may also be purchased along with lessons.  Rental season’s pass for Alpine ski gear also available for Downhill/Randonnee/Alpine Touring students without their own gear.  Sorry Telemark gear rentals not available through the Summit

Uphill travel and other winter skills are covered in the WAC Backcountry travel class
