      Update 6/23/22 – rope team is tentatively full. Contact Heather or Sharan if interested in waitlistlisting.

      What: Two-day climb of Mt Baker over the July 4th weekend via the Easton Glacier route (https://www.summitpost.org/easton-glacier/155616). Must have time window of July 1-4 (Friday – Monday) available for optimizing trip dates with weather. Glacier gear required. Heather will be leading a rope team with room for 2-3 students.

      Day 1. Depart Seattle in AM. Park at 3400 ft Mt Baker NRA trailhead. Hike/climb ~4-5 miles to 6500 ft camp on Railroad Grade moraine.
      Day 2. Alpine start to climb Mt Baker (10,781 ft), return to camp, pack up, hike out, drive home.

      RT ~16 miles, ~7500 ft elev. gain

      Must be competent with crampons on steep snow/ice. All potential members will be background checked for required skills prior to acceptance onto the rope team.
