Ricky Zinter Memorial Fund

Description

Dear Friends,

This week our dear friend, teacher and fellow adventurer Kyle Zinter, lost his big brother Ricky. Kyle has touched so many of our lives, whether through his commitment to teaching others about mountaineering, being a compassionate and devoted friend or as someone who always makes life a bit brighter and more full of fun. We feel privileged to know him and our hearts break for his loss.

The Washington Alpine Club exists to encourage a love of the outdoors—together we push our physical and emotional boundaries and we teach and learn from each other. We are united not only in our love of nature, but in the deep bonds of friendship and family that form as we come together beneath a canopy of open sky.

Ricky shared our passion for the outdoors, was a loving brother and son, cherished friend, stand out athlete and wonderful human being; he will be missed and always remembered.

It is with great reverence that we attempt to give back to Kyle and his family, and honor Ricky Zinter, by setting up a memorial fund at the Washington Alpine Club in Ricky’s name. The memorial fund will help future students learn how to travel into the mountains and come back home safely.
