2022 November Wilderness First Aid (WFA).
The Washington Alpine Club will be hosting a second Wilderness First Aid (WFA) and CPR class November 12-13. This class will be held in Seattle at the CPR Seattle site. This course is highly recommended for anyone venturing into the mountains whether on a multiday climbing trip, backpacking trip or even a one-day hike. You will receive valuable knowledge about how to treat a host of injuries and illnesses that may occur in the mountains when calling 911 is not an option. Please consider taking this class. The class will be 9 hours of instruction on both Saturday and Sunday.
There is a 1-hour home study that is required before showing up for the class, this is mandatory per CPR Seattle.
Cost of the class is $225 to be paid to the WAC at least 14 days before the class.
The first 12 people who sign up and are members of the WAC will be accepted. Note that the class can be cancelled if there are not enough participants, or if there is no instructor availability
The cost of the class becomes nonrefundable after October 12th (one month prior to class start).
